David Watson
Since it’s inception in 1997, Direct Retail Partners has created value for commercial real estate projects in the southwestern United States. Under Watson’s leadership, Direct Retail Partners has developed, acquired and managed over 5 million square feet of shopping center assets.
The company has partnered with or developed stores for nearly every anchor tenant active in their marketplaces. The firm enjoys many long standing relationships with partners, clients, tenants, lenders and municipalities across Texas and the Southwest.

Prior to serving as Managing Principal for Direct Retail Partners, Watson spent 10 years with Cencor Realty Services where he participated in management, leasing and development of numerous grocery anchored and regional shopping centers. Watson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Denison Forum on Truth and Culture and is an active member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and previously served as President of the Board of Directors for the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity
